Recognised external payroll qualifications add to the quality of service offered to clients
In addition to extensive in-house training, Trace Payroll Services also promotes team members to earn recognised payroll qualifications.
Andrew Bell, MD of Trace Payroll Services stated that;
"We believe it is important to keep developing and training our staff to enable them to offer the very best service to our customers. We will be funding another six people to undertake recognised payroll qualifications this year."
Anne-Marie Usher, a member of the Managed Payroll team at Trace Payroll Services, has recently completed her first year of the IPPM (Institute of Payroll and Pensions Management) Diploma in Payroll Management for example. In her first year Anne-Marie covered topics which included: the contractual aspect of payroll administration, payroll systems and practices, and the assessment of pay, benefits and deductions.
Talking about the benefits of studying for the diploma Anne-Marie comments;
"As well as these core subjects relating to payroll I have also learnt how to effectively produce reports and learnt about the various ways of producing payrolls, and specifically the huge benefits of outsourcing.
I have enjoyed this first year and gained confidence from the in-depth knowledge the course provides. I feel that this will enhance my career development and feel more able to help with the complex problems sometimes encountered in payroll."
Also, as part of her external studies Anne-Marie notes that being a member of the Institute of Payroll and Pensions Management means she receives a monthly handbook that keeps her up to date with the continually changing legislation.
